HMS Systems Biology Flow Cytometry Facility

Our facility houses two state-of-the-art BD analyzers with high-throughput capability, a Stratedigm benchtop analyzer, a high-speed BD cell sorter, and both Mac and PC workstations for data analysis. Sorting services are offered through the facility, as well as instrument and software training.






  • Consultation and collaboration service ( Support service )

    "The director is available for consultation and collaboration on experimental design, data analysis, and new techniques."

  • Instrument training service ( Training service )

    "Analyzers are available for user-based data acquisition to operators whom have undergone appropriate instrument training provided by facility staff."

  • Software training service ( Training service )

    Software training on FlowJo and ModFit.

  • Sorting and analysis services ( Material analysis service )

    The analysis service may be performed by a staff operator or a user operator. For user operators "facility staff will train users to perform independent acquisition and analysis on the LSRII and Calibur. Training sessions are generally 2 hours long. Additional help for more advanced applications will gladly be provided upon request." Sorting services are performed by facility staff only.
