GHY285 (hisG replacement of ppr2)

eagle-i ID

Resource Type

  1. Saccharomyces cerevisiae

  1. Resource Description
    GHY285 is the TFIIS-minus strain from Grant Hartzog . This strain was obtained by hisG replacement of ppr2 gene. This replacement was accomplished by the transforming the basic Fred Winston strain FY653 (mat alpha his4-912-delta lys2-128-delta leu2-delta-1 ura3-52) with the ppr2-hisG plasmid pJD3 constructed in Caroline Kane's lab (UC-Berkley).In order to cross this strain with Z280, I looped out the hisG-Ura3 by growing GHY285 at the FOA plate and used the revertants for the cross.
  2. Resource Description
    Mat alpha his4-912-delta lys2-128-delta leu2-delta-1 ura3-52ppr2::hisG-Ura3.
  3. Related Publication or Documentation
