Cytometry and cell sorting core at the Center for Virology and Vaccine Research. The facility has a BD FACSAria II housed in a sterile biosafety cabinet in a BSL2+ facility, allowing sorting of unfixed, live cells into a variety of tubes and plates. Equipment, consultation, dedicated operator, and data analysis available to outside researchers.
To schedule an appointment please contact one of our flow core personnel.
"BD FACS Aria II cell sorter equipped with 4 solid state lasers: 100mW 405nm violet measuring up to 8 parameters, 50mW 488nm blue measuring up to 2 parameters in addition to FSC and SSC, 150mW 532 green measuring up to 5 parameters, and a 200mW 628nm red measuring up to 3 parameters, allowing sorting panels of up to 18 fluorescent markers. This instrument is housed in a biosafety cabinet in a BSL2+ laboratory, allowing for sterile sorting of live cells into a variety of tubes and plates."
"Two BD LSR II analyzers, each equipped with 3 solid state lasers: 100mW 404nm violet measuring up to 8 parameters, 100mW 488nm blue measuring up to 5 parameters in addition to FSC and SSC, and a 40mW 639nm red measuring up to 3 parameters, allowing panels of up to 16 fluorescent markers."
